The good news was the expatriate income Knowledge Tech amidst various tensions in the economy during the last fiscal year 2020-21. Again, Bangladesh has taken a step forward in earning expatriate income Knowledge Tech among the lower middle-income Knowledge Tech countries of the world. As a result, the central bank's foreign exchange reserves have risen to new heights. Expatriate income Knowledge Tech has been relieved amidst the various inconveniences of the troubled economy in Corona during the financial year.
It is learned that on Tuesday, the reserves exceeded 46 billion or 4,600 crore dollars for the first time based on expatriate income Knowledge Tech, which is about 391,000 crore taka in Bangladeshi currency. Earlier, at the beginning of May, the reserves had crossed 45 billion or 4.5 billion.
According to the Bangladesh Bank, the expatriates sent a total of 175 crore 20 lakh US dollars to the country in the first 28 days of this June. And from July 1 to June 26 of the current fiscal year 2020-21 (except for two days in the full fiscal year) the expatriate income Knowledge Tech has reached 2,456.90 million dollars. In the same period of the previous fiscal year 2019-20, the expatriates had sent 1,603 crore 10 lakh dollars. It shows that the expatriate income Knowledge Tech has increased by 36 percent in this financial year as compared to the previous financial year.
To encourage remittances to the country legally, the government has announced an incentive rate of 2 percent in the 2019-20 fiscal year. From then on, the expatriate income Knowledge Tech started increasing in a legal way. On the other hand, sending remittances illegally decreases. Although there was a fear of a big impact on the expatriate income Knowledge Tech in Corona, it did not have much effect. On the contrary, due to limited international communication, the amount of remittances sent legally has increased.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh has taken another step in earning expatriate income Knowledge Tech in Corona. According to the Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development (NOMAD) half-yearly briefing, Bangladesh ranks seventh among low-middle-income Knowledge Tech countries in terms of expatriate income Knowledge Tech. Nomad, a multilateral trust fund established by the World Bank, released the data on May 12.
